This beautiful fireside chair is an original CC41 utility chair with a stunning fret work back. We have covered the sprung unit in a cream boucle fabric made from recycled plastic bottles. When we unpicked the spring unit on this chair we were delighted to find the original label which we have sewn on to the new cushion.
The back is a beautiful cut out piece of wood that is studded on the back. We have refurbished the wood and it has been polished and waxed to a beautiful sheen.
The seat is the original sprung unit wrapped in flat and wool - which replicates the original method - which is very comfy. We have included a round cushion in the matching boucle which comes with a recycled plastic bottle filler.
CC41 utility furniture was created in the post 2nd world war era when the country needed furniture as they rebuilt after the war. Alot of chairs where made in St Albans which used to be the centre of the chair industry.

We are fully trained upholsterers and the chair fully complies with current UK fire regulations - all fillings and covers are FR treated, it has been given a batch number.
All of our furniture is refurbished or original vintage.
We work very hard to ensure that our items are in the best condition possible. The item has been hand crafted back to life - it will not be in factory new condition.

The cost quoted for delivery is an estimate, PLEASE CONTACT ME BEFORE PAYING with your postcode and an accurate cost can be given.
(As an idea delivery to UK mainland is on average £65) Due to the nature of the item, shipment cost will alter with distance.
Please feel free to organise your own delivery - companies such as Anyvan, Shiply, Parcel2go or parcelmonkey and can equally provide a reasonable price. Very simple to use and I have been told that they provide a good service.
(At the moment our delivery driver, will unload your item/s & deliver to the ground floor entrance of your property. Please be ready to take the piece from there onwards)
We do not offer European or Worldwide delivery, feel free to arrange yourself from E4. Please advise and I will adjust listing.
We wrap our items with recycled packaging, it might not look pretty but it certainly does the job of protecting the items.
