Founded in 1860, Sanderson is celebrated worldwide for its exceptional craftsmanship and nature-inspired designs. This fabric features “intricately embroidered wild berries, sloes and blossom trailing across a woodland-inspired design”—a perfect complement to the chair’s timeless silhouette.
Bobbin, or spool, furniture is known for its distinctive lathe-turned details. First crafted in the 17th century across northern Europe and the US, the style saw a resurgence in the 19th century and is loved once again today.
This chair showcases classic bobbin turning throughout its frame—from the elegant spindles to the decorative stretcher. The wood has a beautifully aged patina with a soft sheen; we have cleaned and waxed it and carried out a small repair to one front leg. The turned front stretcher is a wonderful indicator of quality craftsmanship.
Overall, the chair is in very good, clean condition with only light, age-appropriate cosmetic wear to the wood. Compact yet full of character, it makes a charming occasional chair for any room.

I am a fully trained upholsterer, and this chair has been restored in full compliance with current UK fire regulations. All fillings and fabrics meet FR standards, a protective barrier cloth has been used, and the piece has been issued with its own batch number for safety assurance.
All of our furniture is either refurbished or original vintage. We take great care to ensure every item is in the best condition possible, thoughtfully hand-crafted back to life. Please note that while restored with exceptional attention to detail, vintage pieces will not be in factory-new condition—they retain the gentle character and history that make them unique.

The cost quoted for delivery is for mainland UK and is an estimate, PLEASE CONTACT ME BEFORE PAYING with your postcode and an accurate cost can be given.
(As an idea delivery to UK mainland is on average £55) Due to the nature of the item, shipment cost will alter with distance.
Please feel free to organise your own delivery - companies such as Anyvan, Shiply, Parcel2go or parcelmonkey and can equally provide a reasonable price. Very simple to use and I have been told that they provide a good service.
(At the moment our delivery driver, will unload your item/s & deliver to the ground floor entrance of your property. Please be ready to take the piece from there onwards)
We do not offer European or Worldwide delivery, feel free to arrange yourself from E4. Please advise and I will adjust listing.
We wrap our items with recycled packaging, it might not look pretty but it certainly does the job of protecting the items.
